White Matter

White matter is one of two components, along with grey matter, that the brain is composed of. White matter is made up of cells that transmit brain signals from one region of the cerebrum to another, or from the cerebrum to the lower brains centers. White matter is primarily associated with processing and cognition and acts as a relay between the different regions of the brain.
