Sigbert Ganser
Sigbert Ganser (1853 – 1931) was a German psychiatrist who first described (1989) what is now known, along with many other names, as Ganser Syndrome. This syndrome, most noted in his work with prison inmates, manifests itself as communication disorder. The syndrome itself has long been a controversial subject as to whether it should be classified as a Factitious Disorder or as a Dissociative Disorder. In the DSM-5 it is currently unlisted.
