Projection Bias

Projection bias arises from a the human tendency to rely on their current emotional status to predict their feelings in the future. For instance, a person breaks up with their significant other and is feeling understandably depressed. Most times that person will take a dim view of other possible relationships due to their fear of getting hurt again.
