Premorbid
For a condition or disease to be referred to as premorbid denotes a state of functionality and presence that exists prior to the onset of said condition or disease. It is something that is present or precedes the symptoms of a disease, either physical or mental. When used in relationship to psychological problems, it is often used to describe the premorbid personality prior to the onset of emotional or psychological difficulties. This differs from comorbidity which is when two or more conditions exist simultaneously.
