Paraphrenia
Paraphrenia or Paranoid Schizophrenia, was first described by the German psychiatrist, Emil Kraepelin. It refers to a psychological disorder where the person has false beliefs and may think that he is the best (delusion of grandeur), or that other people are spying on him (delusion of persecution), or that his wife is cheating on him (delusion of jealousy). For example, an elderly man who lives alone develops Paraphrenia and stops going out of his house during the day because he thinks his neighbors are watching and laughing at him.
