Ophidiophilia

Ophidiophilia came from the Greek word “ophis” which means “serpent” and “philia” which means “love”. This is a type of zoophilia, the attraction towards animals in general. Ophidiophiles feel attracted to or are aroused by snakes; it is important to note that some feel a “brotherly love” and do not feel a sexual attraction.

For instance, an ophidiophile takes care of a number of snakes; he sleeps with them and lets them slither around his house. He talks to them everyday and treats them as family.
