Open-Mindedness

Open-mindedness is the quality of being receptive to new ideas. This entails setting aside our own traditional beliefs and practices to recognize novel views.

For instance, an open-minded person admits that he does not know everything and that is why he is patiently listening to his friend who has contrasting views regarding his take on same sex marriage. This attribute is often encouraged to promote an inclusive culture.
