Olfactory eroticism refers to sexual thoughts and feelings that are triggered by certain scents. This occurs as a pairing of strong memories of erotic experiences with particular smells or odors. For instance, a teenager has a sexual experience in the forest where they could smell fresh grass and flowers. This pairing of stimuli can cause this same person to relive the erotic memories every time he or she is in a similar environment.
