Obligate Carrier
An obligate carrier is someone who has a gene mutation but is not clinically affected. This usually refers to inherited disorders associated with the recessive gene. For instance, females with hemophilia are obligate carriers as they are almost exclusively unaffected but can pass the disease to their male children.
