Nymphomania
Nymphomania is an outdated term for a female who suffers from hypersexual disorder. To be diagnosed with hypersexual disorder, a person must have made multiple, unsuccessful attempts to control or cut down on the amount of time spent engaging in sexual fantasies, urges, and behaviors for greater than six months. The term "nymphomania" makes references to Greek mythology and to the belief in "nymphs," supernatural beings that are associated with trees, mountains or bodies of water. They are also often portrayed as nude; this was then associated with sexuality.
