Nyctophilia

Nyctophilia came from Greek words “nycto” which means “night” and “phile” which means “loving." Individuals with nyctophilia love the night or being in the dark. For instance, a nyctophiliac said, “I feel most relaxed at night, I look forward to being in the dark, it really makes me happy. I like staying awake when others are sleeping but I know that it is not good for me to be like this”. Also, nyctophilia is defined by others as gaining sexual arousal from the dark.
