Narcotic Stupor
Narcotic stupor is a state of sleepiness, unresponsiveness, and inactivity due to the effects of an opioid medication. Since narcotics depress the central nervous system, those who take them may feel lethargic. In extreme cases, individuals may experience unconsciousness which may eventually progress to coma. For instance, some medicines prescribed to numb pain and control coughing indicate sleepiness as a common side-effect.
