Menage A Trois

Menage a trois is French for “household of three”; it is also called triad, throuple, or thruple. It is an arrangement of three people who have sexual relations with each other and are living in the same household.

For instance, Friedrich Engels, a famous German political philosopher, historian, sociologist, businessman, and journalist, lived with Mary Burns, his mistress, and Lizzie Burns, Mary’s sister.
