Medullation

Medullation is the formation of medulla or a tissue which covers the medulla. It is also medically defined as the obsolete term for myelination. This process begins in the prenatal stage but it is not completed until late adolescence. It specifically starts in the brainstem and cerebellum and ends in the frontal cortex. This process is highly crucial in facilitating the transfer of messages between neurons .
