Mass Murder
Mass murder is the killing of at least three or four individuals at approximately at the same time within a certain area. This may be committed by individuals or groups. For instance, 7 people were killed in a shooting on August 31, 2009 in Odessa, Texas. The murderer opened fire during a traffic stop and was eventually killed during a shootout with police. Some of the motivations for mass murder include political aims, revenge, cult practices, and attention.
