Loose Associations

Loose associations, also known as derailment, is a thought disorder characterized by difficulty in creating and expressing coherent thought, which outward manifests as the production of disorganized speech. People with this disorder usually string together in the same sentence ideas that aren’t logically related or connected. For example, I was very shy when I was a child, the sky is so blue.
