Lilluputian Hallucination
A Lilliputian hallucination is the sensation of seeing people, animals, and objects smaller than they actually are. This term is based on Gulliver’s Travels’ “little people” who lived in the island of Lilliput. This visual hallucination has been associated with brain tumors, epilepsy, typhoid, and psychoactive drug use. For example, someone who took drugs might suddenly see things as more distant or smaller. This visual hallucination is also called micropsia.
