Learning Curve

The "learning curve" is a term that refers to the time and difficulty that is necessary to learn a task or skill. To say that a task has steep learning curve means that it is a difficult task. Of course, How "steep" the learning curve varies with the individual and the skill being learned. For instance, a skilled auto mechanic would probably find learning about a new model of car a much less "steep" learning curve than would a musician.
