Jargons
Jargons are specialized terms utilized in a certain field which are not often understood by most people. Such terms are created to enhance the communication efficiency among a group’s members. For instance, the terminology, “transference" is a jargon in the psychology and psychiatric fields which pertains to the redirection of childhood feelings towards the therapist. Most trades, professions, interests and hobbies utilize a "jargon" of some sort.
For instance, I enjoy knitting and follow some knitting groups on Facebook. A couple of entertaining knitting jargon words are "tink" and "frog." Tink meaning to unstitch your work until you can repair a mistake (tink is knit spelled backwards). On the other hand "frog" means to pull out several rows (as in rip-it, rip-it) to correct a mistake.
