Jamais Vecu
Jamais vecu (meaning "never experienced before" in French) describes the sensation of unfamiliarity with a situation or event that has been experienced before and should be recognized. It is an illusion that makes a situation that has happened before seem foreign and unfamiliar.
This can be a symptom of epilepsy, aphasia, and amnesia. An example would be driving a car for years and then one day having the sensation that you don't know what to do, how to work the pedals, how to signal, etc.
