Intermarriage
Intermarriage is the legal union between two individuals of different backgrounds. Such distinctions may be cultural, religious, racial, or any factor that distinguishes social groups.
For instance, a European man marrying an Asian woman. Intermarriage is a form of exogamy (hyperlink) or marrying someone outside one’s community. This kind of union often, in the past, have faced some challenges due to prejudice, xenophobia , ethnocentrism, and other pertinent factors. Unfortunately, many of these prejudices still exist today.
