Incidence

Incidence, as used in medical terminology, refers to the measure of risk of a person developing a new medical condition within a stated period of time. This is a statistical measure also known as incidence proportion or cumulative incidence, that measures the percentage of individuals within a measured population of persons who develop a medical condition to compute a percentage of chance.
