Ideational Agnosia

Ideational agnosia is characterized by unsound recognition and interpretation of symbols. This inability to interpret sensations is usually due to brain damage. Specifically, ideational refers to the formation of concepts while agnosia came from the ancient Greek word which means “lack of knowledge” or “ignorance”.
