Hypoglycemia
Hypoglycemia (low blood sugar) is a medical condition that results from the body creating an excessive amount of insulin in reaction to foods consumed. This creates a shortage of glucose in the brain that can result in dysphoria (mood changes), or more severely seizures, unconsciousness, and (rarely) permanent brain damage or death. This condition can be a precursor of diabetes, or can be a chronic medical condition that can be controlled through diet and weight management.
