Horizontal Cells

Horizontal Cells are neurons inside the retina that combine inputs from rods and cones, which provide information on light and color. This information is then transferred to other cells in the retina that connect to visual centers brain. Horizontal cells also send signals back to receptors on the surface of the retina to help the eye adjust to conditions of light and dark.
