A geriatrician is a physician who specializes on the health care of the elderly. He or she is well-grounded in internal medicine, neurology, psychiatry, and rehabilitation medicine. This profession entails coordination with other experts such as psychologists and physiotherapists to help ensure that patients are well-supported. Geriatricians usually deal with aging-related conditions such as dementia, delirium, and falls.
