Eye Banks

Eye banks are generally non-profit institutions which collect, assess, and distribute donated eyes. The organs are used for corneal transplants to help patients regain their vision. They are also being sent to universities for research and education. These banks are regulated by a government or private health system and are often situated near hospitals or clinics.
