Epileptogenic Lesion

Epileptogenic lesion is a brain area with tissue damage which leads to epileptic seizures. This may be due to head trauma, tumor, laceration, or hemorrhage. The lesion prompts the neuronal network into a highly excited state which is manifested as seizures.
