Drug Therapy
Drug therapy (also known as pharmacotherapy) is a broad term that means using medication or drugs to treat a condition or disease. So treating an infection with antibiotics is a type of drug therapy. Psychopharmacotherapy is the use of medication for the treatment of psychological disorders and conditions. There are three main categories of psychopharmacotherapy medications: anxiolytics (anti-anxiety medications), antidepressants, and antipsychotics.
