Dissociative Amnesia

Dissociative Amnesia refers to an inability to remember facts or details surrounding a traumatic event that cannot be explained by physical means. For example, a person who has been assaulted may not be able to recall the traumatic event, or what their attacker looked like or exactly what was said or done.
