Disequilibrium
In psychology, disequilibrium may refer to an instability in an individual’s cognitive, emotional, or psychological state. For instance, a person with schizophrenia presents disequilibrium symptoms as evidence by his erratic thoughts, extreme irritability, delusions, and disorganized behavior. In medical use, disequilibrium is the sensation (or reality) of a lack of physical balance which is frequently caused by inner ear infections.
