Disability Rating Scale (DRS)
The Disability Rating Scale (DRS) measures various effects of traumatic brain injury (TBI). It was developed by M. Rappaport in 1982. It specifically rates patients’ cognitive impairment and predicts the duration of recovery from “coma to community”. The administration of DRS does not require professional training as it can be self-administered or facilitated through an interview. The test can be completed from 1 to 30 minutes.
