Diagnosis

Diagnosis is the process of determining, through evaluation of symptoms, the nature of an illness. For instance, if a child is taken to a doctor with a fever and rash, it is the doctor's duty to evaluate the type of rash to decide what disease process is involved so that he can prescribe the proper treatment.
