Congenital Nevus

A congenital nevus (plural: nevi) or congenital melanocyte nevus (CMN) is merely a mole that a person is born with. This is formed when melanocytes (cells which produce pigments) group together in one area during the fetal stage. These moles are often raised, may have one or more colors, and come in various sizes (small, medium, large, or giant).
