Complementary Colors

Complementary Colors refer to the colors that appear opposite to one another on a color wheel. The primary colors are red, yellow and blue while the other (secondary) colors orange, green and violet are each made by combining two of the primary colors. When these 6 colors are diagramed on a wheel, the colors that are opposite to one another are referred to as "complementary" colors.
