Clinical Perspective

Clinical Perspective refers to the viewpoint of a health professional such as a doctor, nurse, psychiatrist, or psychologist who works directly with patients. When such a provider offers their professional opinion, knowledge, or insight on an issue, they are offering a clinical perspective. A clinician’s specific outlook influences his or her practice and includes work experience, training, and theoretical background. For example, one Clinical Psychologist may operate from a Cognitive-Behavioral perspective, while another follows a Humanistic Perspective.
