Catathymic Events

Catathymic "crises" or events are actions or reactions that are abrupt, violent, and unplanned. Medically this term can be used for a sudden, physical event (such as a bout of diarrhea). Legally, the term, "catathymic crisis" can be used to refer to a sudden crime spree.
