Calcitonin

Calcitonin is a hormone which brings down the calcium level in the blood. It is secreted by the thyroid gland of the endocrine system. Calcitonin has a minor role in maintaining calcium balance as patients with extreme calcitonin levels did not present any adverse reactions.
