The Bem sex-role inventory (BSRI) is a self-report instrument which measures masculinity, femininity, and gender roles. This was developed by Sandra Bem with the aim of assessing psychological androgyny (mix of masculine and feminine). The BSRI is composed of 60 items which present gender-based personality traits (20 masculine, 20 feminine, and 20 gender neutral). The short form version is composed of 30 items (10 masculine, 10 feminine, and 10 gender neural).
