A behaviorist is a person who studies and does research about the behavior of animals or people. Some of the major behavioral researchers of the 19th and 20th centuries were Pavlov, Thordike, Watson and Skinner. Behaviorists study the parameters of normal behavior and how basic behaviors can be shaped and modified in response to outside stimuli such as reward and punishment.
