Audioception

Audioception refers to the ability to hear sounds. This occurs when sound waves are taken in by the outer ear, then received by the eardrum. The eardrum then transmits those vibrations to the inner and middle ear where they are transmitted by way of the auditory nerve to the brain as sound.
