Anxious-Avoidant Insecure Attachment
Anxious-Avoidant Insecure Attachment is a type of childhood insecure attachment style identified by Mary Ainsworth. During The Strange Situation Test a child with this type of insecure attachment tends to ignore the caregiver, sometimes almost completely. In addition, the child may have little or no interest in exploring the area or having any interaction with mom.
Many psychologists believe that this type of insecure attachment comes from mom being disengaged and emotionally detached from the child.
