An anticholinergic is an agent that blocks the neurotransmitter acetylcholine (ACh) and its effects in the brain. Anticholinergic agents are used to treat a wide range of disorders and issues including Parkinson's Disease, asthma, anxiety, sleep disorders like insomnia, depression, gastrointestinal issues like diarrhea, muscular spasms, motion sickness, poisoning, and high blood pressure.
