Alcohol, Drug Abuse, And Mental Health Administration (ADAMHA)
The Alcohol, Drug Abuse, and Mental Health Administration (ADAMHA) is the former name of the current Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) organization. SAMHSA has been in use since 1992 and is a branch of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services that is charged with the improvement of the quality and availability of prevention, treatment, and rehabilitative services in order to reduce illness, death, disability, and the cost to society that results from substance abuse and mental illness.
