Advanced Directive
Advanced directive or advanced health care directive is a living will which indicates the individual’s wishes in the event that he will not have the capacity to make decisions. Also known as advance directive or advance decision, this legal document specifies instructions regarding health care preferences. One example is that Dutch law sanctions advanced directives to authorize euthanasia which is specifically termed as "advanced euthanasia directives" or AEDs. Some of the other countries which observe advanced directive, with differing specifics, are USA, Australia, Canada, and Italy.
