Adjudication is the final decision in a legal case. It can be the finding of guilt, civil liability, or a term of imprisonment (sentence to be served). Once a final decision has been made on a case, it is considered adjudicated. It can also refer to a not guilty verdict as long as the case has gone through the entire legal process.
