Acetaldehyde
Acetaldehyde (also known as ethanal) is a naturally occurring chemical compound found in fermented beverages, bread, teas, coffee, ripe fruits and some dairy products. This organic compound, made by plants, is also related to hangovers and their severity after the consumption of excessive alcohol. A liver enzyme oxidizes the alcohol and produces acetaldehyde. Acetaldehyde is a carcinogen (cancer causing) in some instances.
