Abaissment De Niveau Mental
Abaissment de niveau mental, or mental abaissment (literally reduction of mental level) is a term borrowed by Carl Jung (1875-1961) from French psychologist and neurologist Pierre Janet (1859–1947) and describes a reduction in a patient's state of consciousness. This is accompanied by a reduction in inhibitions and a relaxation of personal restraints. This state is much like hypnosis but is generally reached spontaneously, but can be encouraged by a hypnotist or other trained professional.
